Basilique Saint-NazaireCarcassonne, France
En 1096 le pape Urbain II vient à Carcassonne et bénit les pierres de la Cathédrale Saint-Nazaire et Saint Celse. L’édifice est achevé dans la première moitié du XII siècle. Remanié plusieurs fois, l’édifice perd son statut de cathédrale en 1801 au profit de l’église Saint-Michel situé dans la Bastide. Elle reçoit en 1898 le titre de Basilique octroyé par le pape Léon XIII.
